Tottenham chairman Levy replies to ’42 billion won, split over six years’ Kluczewski deal

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Dejan Klucepski.

“We have reached an agreement with Juventus to sign Klucepski on a permanent basis,” Tottenham announced on the club’s website on Aug. 18 (KST), “signing a contract valid until 2028.”

Tottenham signed Klucepski on an 18-month loan from Juventus in January last year. His loan expired at the end of the 2022-23 season and the club decided to buy him outright. During his loan spell, Klucepski was an integral part of Tottenham’s back three, so the club had a lot of faith in him.

Klucepski was a ray of light for a Spurs team that didn’t have much of an attacking option outside of Son Heung-min and Harry Kane. Quickly establishing himself as the first-choice right wing-forward, Kuluczewski scored five goals and provided eight assists in 18 Premier League appearances in his first season with the club. His ability to create chances for his teammates, as well as his ability to finish on his own, allowed Son and Kane to double their goalscoring output.

Klucepski formed a trio with Son and Kane again this season. While his goals and assists were down from last season due to injury, he was still one of Spurs’ most reliable attacking options. With Klucepski outright, Tottenham will be able to form a trio with Son and Kane next season.안전놀이터

According to Juventus, Tottenham will pay €30 million over six years for Kuluczewski. It’s not a big deal on a season-by-season accounting basis. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has always been a master negotiator.

Spurs also managed to knock €5 million off the price of the original outright deal with Juventus, down from €35 million. Including an 18-month loan of €10 million, the total cost of Klucepski’s signing is €40 million. That’s almost eight years of payments.
