Down 2-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning, with two outs, Toronto had a chance to rally behind Kansas City rookie Cole Reagans, who was named Pitcher of the Month for August.
Reagans, who had just snapped a 26-inning scoreless streak, gave up back-to-back singles with a wobbly delivery, then slipped and fell while throwing a wild pitch that sailed over the catcher’s head, putting runners on second and third.
Reagans signaled to the coaching staff that he was OK, but on the very next pitch, he allowed a run on another wild pitch that the catcher couldn’t catch.
And then the next pitch was a bad step, leading to three straight wild pitches,

With the game tied, Toronto went on to pound the opposing bullpen for a 5-2 victory.
