Patrick Mahomes named second season MVP

Kansas City Chiefs’ starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes (27) was named MVP of the season.

Mahomes was named MVP of the season at the NFL Awards held in Phoenix, Arizona, USA on the 10th (Korean time).

Ahead of the Super Bowl this weekend, he was selected as the MVP by 48 out of 50 voters selected by the press corps and scored 490 points, beating out Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jaylen Hurts, who scored 193 points.

San Francisco’s Nick Bosa was named Defensive Player of the Year, while New York Jets rookie Ahmad Gardner and receiver Garrett Wilson were named Defensive Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year, respectively.

Minnesota wide receiver Justin Jefferson was named Offensive Player of the Year and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Gino Smith, who earned his first starting spot and first Pro Bowl selection since 2014, was named Comeback of the Year.
