Looking back at ‘KBL’s first or second’, this season’s record?

The 2022-2023 SKT Adot Professional Basketball regular league ended on March 29th. Before meeting the playoffs starting on the 2nd, let’s look back at KBL’s first or second record in the regular league. Seoul SK Jamil Warney, the top scorer for two consecutive seasons, Warney,

the second in history, has been active for four seasons as a member of SK since the 2019-2020 season.

Last season, he scored an average of 22.1 points (994 points) in 45 games and became the top scorer.

Aaron Haynes is the only KBL player to record the top scorer for two consecutive seasons. He scored 23.1 points (1226 points/53 games) in the 2010-2022 season (Samsung) and 27.6 points (1185 points/43 games) in the 2011-2012 season (LG), becoming the top scorer for two consecutive seasons. Warney became the second top scorer after Haynes for two consecutive seasons.

Changwon LG Asem Maray, No. 1 in rebound-steals, the first ever

This season, Maray won an average of 12.5 rebounds (674) in 54 games, becoming the king of rebounds and the king of steals with 1.8 steals (98). He finished first in the league in both categories. Since steals mostly come from the guard position, it is a little questionable that Marey, who is a big man, is ranked #1 in steals.

No player has ever ranked first in both rebounds and steals, so Marey is the first. Marey also led the league with 13.5 rebounds last season, but Murphy Holloway (Orion) took the top spot in steals with 2.2 steals.

Seoul Samsung Shin Dong-hyuk, 1st in 3-point shot success rate, 2nd among all-time rookies,

Shin Dong-hyuk joined Seoul Samsung in the 1st round and 6th place in the 2022-2023 rookie draft. He was the only rookie drafted this season to play in every game and stay on the court averaging 18 minutes and 15 seconds. The rookie award went to Ulsan Hyundai Mobis’ Ronjay Avarientos, but Shin Dong-hyuk left a record.

Shin Dong-hyuk’s 3-point success rate is 44.9% (53/118), which is the first in the league. So far, Shin Ki-seong (Narae) is the only rookie player to have topped the 3-point shooting success rate in his debut season. Newness in the 1998-1999 season recorded 44.7% (88/197). Shin Dong-hyuk became the second player ever to top the 3-point shooting percentage as a rookie.

Among all new players, the protagonist with the highest 3-point shooting success rate in his debut season is Lee Si-jun (Samsung) in the 2007-2008 season. He shot 45.3% (53/117) at the time. With 44.9%, Shin Dong-hyuk ranked second in the highest three-point shooting success rate in his debut season among rookie players. 바카라사이트

Samsung Lee Jeong-hyeon ranked last in 3-point shot success rate (regular ranking) 4 times, the first ever

3-point shot success rate. This season, Lee Jung-Hyun has a 3-point shooting success rate of 27.6% (86/312), which is 29th in the regulation rankings, and is in last place. In the first season after moving to Samsung, the defense was focused on the ace Lee Jung-hyun, so his 3-point shooting success rate was inevitably reduced. Last season, when he was a member of KCC, his rate was slightly higher at 28.9% (78/270). However, as he was 32nd, last in the regulation rankings, Lee Jung-hyun finished last in the 3-point shooting percentage for two consecutive seasons.

Since Malbert White (Electronic Land) achieved (?) first in the 2003-2004 season (39.7%) and 2004-2005 season (31.3%), Lee Jung-hyun is second in the 3-point shooting success rate for two consecutive seasons. In fact, Lee Jung-hyun recorded 32.5% and 30.7% respectively in the 2011-2012 season (23rd) and 2012-2013 season (20th) during the KGC period, and recorded last place for two consecutive seasons. In other words, the record of being in the bottom of the 3-point shot success rate for two consecutive seasons is the third in KBL history, and Lee Jung-hyun has finished last four times in total.

Of course, Lee Jung-hyun left behind the achievement of achieving 1,000 3-pointers this season. The reason Lee Jung-hyun is better than the previous players (Moon Kyung-eun, Joo Hee-jeong, Woo Ji-won, Kim Byung-chul, Jo Sang-hyun, and Yang Kyung-min) is that he succeeded in all 1,000 3-pointers from 6.75m or higher. Since the 3-point shot distance was changed from 6.25m to 6.75m from the 2009-2010 season, Lee Jung-hyun is the only one who has made 1,000 3-pointers purely from 6.75m or more.
