Cy Young’s face is soaring… Bauer, 7 runs in Japan, struggled with the 8th hitter

Trevor Bauer, a career Cy Young player who was ruined for assault, was in danger of losing in the second game of his debut in Japanese professional baseball. He took a whopping 11 hits, three of which went over the fence.

Bauer started the game against the Yomiuri Giants in the ‘2023 Japan Professional Baseball Central League’ held at Hard Off Stadium in Niigata, Japan on the 9th. This is his second first-team appearance this season. He threw 103 pitches through the 6th inning, striking out 8, but struggled with 11 hits, including 3 home runs. He played an aggressive game without four balls, but the result was a large number of runs.

Bauer earned a victory in his Nippon Professional Baseball debut against the Hiroshima Carps on the 3rd. He pitched 7 innings with 98 pitches, giving up 7 hits, 1 walk, 9 strikeouts and 1 run. His only run came on a home run. He hit a solo home run off Matt Davidson in the second inning.

In his second appearance, he also conceded a run early in the game. He gave up a tying solo home run to leadoff hitter Kazuma Okamoto in the second inning when the lead was 1–0. In second out and second base, Makoto Kadowaki hit a timely one RBI.

In the 3rd inning, he easily blocked it with a tripartite offense including 2 strikeouts, but scored again in the 4th inning. He hit a double by leadoff hitter Takumi Oshima, then allowed a timely hit again to Kadowaki from first out and third base.스포츠토토

It was the same after that. He blocked the 5th inning with a three-way offense, and gave up a run in the 6th. He put Okamoto out on an error and then was hit by Oshiro with a two-run homer to right-middle. The number of runs increased to 5 (4 earned runs).

He then got an infield hit from Lewis Brinson, and after a run, gave away a wedge to Kadowaki. With a superior two-run home run, the score widened to 1-7. He dedicated 3 hits and 4 RBIs, including a home run, only to the 8th hitter, Kadowaki. Kadowaki had a batting average of 0.095 with 2 hits in 21 at-bats in 21 games before this game. This is the first professional home run ever.

Bauer, who threw 103 pitches through the 6th, went down the mound in the 7th. In the 7th inning, Tatsuya Ishikawa pitched in relief.

Meanwhile, Yomiuri starter and Japan national team pitcher Dogo Shosei pitched well through the 6th inning with 4 hits, 1 walk, 3 strikeouts and 1 run. Looking forward to winning season 4.
