Bass Daniel, 46 years and 8 months old, ‘Oldest LPGA winner’

Eunhee Ji won the LPGA Tour Bank of Hope held at Shadow Creek Golf Club (par 72) in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on May 30 last year (Korean time). In the match play final, she defeated Ayaka Furue (Japan) by a three-hole lead to win the championship. With this win, Ji Eun-hee broke the record for the oldest Korean player to win on the LPGA Tour. Her previous record was 32 years, 8 months, 16 days, which was set by Park Hee-young at the 2020 ISPS Handa Big Open. However, Ji Eun-hee stretched out by more than three years and confidently lifted the championship trophy at the age of 36 years and 17 days.

Ji Eun-hee’s record still falls short of her record as the oldest player to win on the LPGA Tour. The oldest winning record on the LPGA Tour is held by Bass Daniel (USA), who has won 33 victories on the tour. Daniel’s last win on the LPGA Tour marked his milestone. 바카라사이트

At the age of 46 years, 8 months, 29 days, Daniel won the BMO Financial Group Canada Women’s Open in July 2003 at Point Gray Golf and Country Club in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The record at the time was 13 under par, 275 strokes, beating Julie Inkster (USA) by one stroke. Coincidentally, there was a 4-year age difference between Daniel and Ingster, so players in their 40s were competing to win.

Daniel debuted on the LPGA Tour in 1979 and had her heyday on the LPGA Tour until the mid-1990s. The victory right before the BMO Financial Group Canadian Women’s Open was the Ping Welch’s Championship in August 1995, eight years ago.
