Miami Marlins outfielder Luis Arajes, 26, has returned to his dream batting average of .400.
Araúez started at first base and went 5-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and one run scored against the Toronto Blue Jays at Marlins Park on Tuesday (Sept. 20) in Miami, Florida.
Araúez, who won the American League batting title last season, came to Miami via trade this offseason to play in the National League. In 67 games, he is batting .940 with two home runs, 35 RBIs, and an OPS of .940 in 255 at-bats.

Araúez, who was batting .406 through June and is on pace to become the first player in 82 years to hit .406 since Ted Williams in 1941, was batting .402 through the first 11 days of the month, but has since dropped to .378 with just one hit in his last four games. However, in his last three games, he’s pounded out 11 hits to push his average back up to .400. He had five-hit games on April 17 and 20.안전놀이터
According to MLB.com, “Arajes is 11-for-14 in his last three games. With today’s five-hit performance, he became the first player since Dave Winfield in June 1984 to have three five-hit games in a month. Only Ty Cobb (July 1922) and George Sisler (August 1921) have had three five-hit games in a month in Major League Baseball history,” said Arajes, highlighting his June performance. Araúez has been on fire in June, batting 4-for-5 (30-for-66) with one home run, 15 RBI and a 1.047 OPS in 16 games.
Miami pounded out 19 hits in the game. Araes said, “It was fun because we won and everyone got a hit. It’s really fun to play on this team. All the players are starting to believe in the team now. I’ve believed in our team since I first got here. We have a good bullpen, we have good starters, we have a really good defense. It’s a lot of fun, a lot of fun,” he said of his performance.
